September 23 this year representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus paid a reference visit to IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division. First Deputy Head and Deputy Head of the State Institution "National Centre for Control and Response to Emergencies of EMERCOM of the Republic of Belarus" Alexander Konovalchik and Nikolay Sachek got acquainted with the work of the Grid Control Centre of Voronezhenergo (GCC) and the Voronezh Transmission Control Centre (TCC). During the visit they were accompanied by Head of General Directorate of EMERCOM in the Voronezh region Igor Kobzev.
In the Grid Control Centre they listened to a report of Senior Operator Alexey Yakunin on the operational situation in the Voronezh grid. In turn, Head of IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division Ivan Kleymenov noted successful interaction for many years of Voronezhenergo with the territorial EMERCOM, and then gave an overview of the energy complex of the region.
"The Voronezh region is a region-donor of electric energy generation. Total installed power of the Voronezh generation (it is Novovoronezh NPP, Voronezh CHP-1 and CHP-2, etc.) is 2,136.6 MW. Thus, in 2014 the total volume of electricity generated reached 14 billion kilowatt-hours, while their consumption does not exceed 10.5 billion kWh. In addition, the Voronezh region is a rapidly growing region, the only one in the Central Federal District, which last year showed growth of electricity consumption, amounting to 2%," said Mr. Kleymenov.
In addition, in the GCC the representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the neighbouring country were demonstrated capabilities of video surveillance of power facilities, and automated dispatch control system, allowing specialists in the real-time to monitor the status and implement operational management of electrical equipment.
The visit to the Voronezh branch of the electric grid company was organized in the framework of a working visit to the region of the representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus, whose main goal is to study experience in organizing activities to protect the population and territories from emergency situations of different nature. In addition, Voronezhenergo’s guests during the visit to the region familiarized themselves with the work of General Directorate of EMERCOM in the Voronezh region, the Unified duty and dispatch service of the city of Voronezh, held a series of meetings in the Regional Government and Administration of the city of Voronezh.
