Another lesson of energy conservation was organized by specialists of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division for children of senior teams of the health and recreation camp "Prometheus" in Gryazinsky district of the Lipetsk region.
However, this time the event was held in an unusual format - the basics of energy conservation with the children were shared by the stage characters - Energy and its brothers - Light, TV, Cold and Light.
In poetic form they told the children why to save energy and how to use it properly. The residents of "Prometheus" could consolidate the knowledge received, responding to topical issues of another character - Boogie Man. For correct answers the children got themed souvenirs. Live reaction of the children and the sea of raised hands were the best confirmation that they had learned the material. And most importantly, the children realized that each of them can contribute to energy savings. To do this, it is necessary to follow the simple rules - leaving the room to switch off light and a TV set; using energy-saving lamps; turning off electrical appliances being in standby mode for a long time; and efficient use of household appliances such as kettles, refrigerators, irons, air conditioners and others.
"Now I understand why we need to save energy. And for sure I will tell my friends and parents about it. I particularly liked Light, who told us a lot of new and interesting things about wind, solar and water and work of power plants," shared her impressions a member of one of the teams Elizaveta Yastremskaya.
And her friend Polina Marcus promised to follow the rules of energy saving as well. "I am sure to try to persuade the parents to use energy-saving bulbs in place of conventional ones. Until today I did not even know that they exist," she stressed.
And Kirill Yakimovich - a senior counselor of "Prometheus" spoke about the usefulness of the event that took place. In his words, energy saving is one of today’s most relevant topics, so not only adults, but children should be aware of how to save energy as they will make the future of our country. "And the best way to talk about this is through the game. This way kids learn information the best, even the one, which sometimes not all adults can understand," he commented.
The conducted lesson on energy efficiency is one of the ways to tell the children about the importance of the rational use of resources. Also as part of building a culture of energy conservation the power engineers of the branch hold drawing contests and quizzes, publish thematic information in the regional children’s magazine "Golden Key". And children are always happy to participate in such events.
