Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Bryanskenergo division together with members of the construction crew "Fulcrum" (formed from students of the Bryansk State Agricultural University to work at facilities of the company) had a lesson on electrical safety for children in the rest camp "Sparkle" and "Desnyanka" in Dyatkovsky and Zhukovsky districts of the Bryansk region. A total of more than 500 children aged from 6 to 14 years participated in the lessons.
Representatives of Bryanskenergo explained to children why the territory of power facilities is not a place for games and entertainment, and the threat the electrical current carries in the event of non-compliance with the rules of electrical safety. They also told them how to behave when detecting damaged insulation and wires lying on the ground.
The children with interest listened to lectures, actively answered questions, and learned the right way out of the danger zone near a broken wire. To consolidate the knowledge acquired at the end of the lessons the power engineers gave the participants themed reflective bracelets, calendars, key chains, posters, colouring books and "Energolandiya" books.
Representatives of the administration of the camps thanked the representative of Bryanskenergo, noting the importance of such training during the summer holidays when children are not busy with studying and spend most of their spare time in the street.
And the members of the construction crew shared their impressions of participation in class. According to them, the experience was very useful for them. "It was interesting to see how the power engineers presented the information to the children of all ages, the children learn it, what useful knowledge they possess, what questions they ask," stressed the leader of "Fulcrum" Alexander Makarenko.
According to Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Bryanskenergo division director Roman Stefanov, the company pays special attention to the prevention of children’s electrical injuries. The power engineers hope that lessons on electrical safety will help avoid accidents with children and adolescents at power facilities.
