30.07.2015

IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division continues systematic work on the prevention of children’s electrical injuries. One of the key components of this work is lessons on electrical safety. During the summer holidays power engineers hold them in recreation camps, where many schoolchildren have their rest. Another session was held in the children’s recreational and educational centre named after Uliana Gromova. The event was attended by more than 200 children aged 9 - 12 years.

A leading specialist of the training centre for operating personnel of Kurskenergo Elena Rusanova told schoolchildren about power facilities in the territory of the Kursk region and the basic rules of safe handling of electricity at home, taught them the meaning of warning and safety signs. A useful addition to the lesson was demonstrated to children themed videos and posters of safety.

A quiz was of particular interest to children, during which they were shown pictures with fabulous characters and asked to identify what rules of electrical safety they violate. And at a practical training on first aid to the victim with electric shock, they were able to try themselves as a rescuer with the robot-simulator "Gosha". After the event the children were presented with copies of the book "Energolandiya" where entertaining games, puzzles, quizzes, colouring books and posters on prevention of electrical injuries are published.

Kurskenergo’s specialists are planning to hold another lesson on electrical safety in the health camp named after Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya. In total, during the summer holidays Kurskenergo’s specialists will conduct 10 electrical safety lessons in recreation camps in the Kursk region, which will be attended by about 1,500 children.
