Members of students’ construction crews of Tverenergo learned the regional power grid

IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division held a familiarization tour for members of the students’ construction crews "ELE" and "Falcon", working at facilities of the company. The young people visited the Museum of the Tver power system, as well as visited the commissioned in 2014 110 kV substation "Lebedevo".

The tour began with a visit to the museum located in the building of the Tver training and production centre. Chief Specialist of the Centre Elena Finikova showed the members of the students’ construction crews its exposure, said about the energy system of the Tver province in the early twentieth century, the first power plants, power grid enterprises included in the structure "Kalininenergo". The young people got interested in the stored in the museum wooden model of the building and territory of the old power facility in the region - TPP-1 typical for the year of 1929. The first phase of the station was launched more than a century ago, in May 1912, and it still works, supplying heat to Proletarian District of Tver.

 

 

The substation "Lebedevo" provides power to the Raslovo industrial zone, where one of the largest regional investment projects is being implemented to construct Russia’s first excavator plant of "Hitachi". During its visit the members of the students’ construction crews were shown there the used latest technologies and technical solutions, and told why "Lebedevo" is considered one of the most modern feeding centres in the Tver power system.

  

After the tour the members of the students’ construction crews expressed their gratitude to the representatives of Tverenergo for the opportunity to discover the history of the energy system of the Tver region and to see the power industry of the 21st century.

The students’ construction crews "ELE" and "Falcon" were formed from students of the 3rd course of the Tver State Technical University (TSTU) and Konakovsky Energy College, majoring in "Power Supply". The young people have been working at power facilities of Tverenergo since early July, participating in performance of work to clear ROWs along overhead lines. Their summer labour semester will complete in mid-August.
