Power engineers of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division took part in the jubilee XXV Summer Sports Games among energy companies of the Smolensk region. 10 teams of 5 power companies participated in the Sports Games, as well as a team of the students’ construction crew "Power". Competitions were prepared and carried out by the management and the trade union organization of Smolenskenergo at the stadium of the urban village of Red in the Smolensk region, which receives the sports contest for the fourth time.
The competitions were held in ten sports such as athletics, volleyball, mini-football, streetball, swimming, chess, table tennis and others. Employees of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division became winners absolutely in all sports. In weightlifting they won the first and third places in the team standing. In the individual event gold went to a representative of the executive office of the branch Vitaly Golubkov, silver to his colleague from Smolensk City Distribution Zone Alexey Mikhailov.
In volleyball competitions the whole podium was taken by Smolenskenergo’s staff: the team of the executive office of the branch in a tense struggle took the gold from colleagues of the Southern zone of electrical networks service and the bronze medal was won by the team of the West.
The second and third places in mini-football was taken by the team of the Western and Southern service zones of Smolenskenergo.
In the tug of war competitions gold was traditionally received by colleagues from the west, and bronze went to the Southern zone of electrical networks service.
The power engineers of the Smolensk branch of IDGC of Centre had also good results in athletics competitions. So in the 100 m women’s race gold was taken by Galina Moiseenkova, bronze - Elena Baburchenkova (both are representatives of the executive office of the branch). In the men’s 100 m race Ilya Kozlov (Southern service zone) took the 2nd place, and the third went to Dmitry Praded (the executive office of the branch). Competitions for long distance among women brought gold to Olga Gorokhova and bronze to Natalia Shendorova from the Western zone of electrical networks service, and among men gold was taken by Alexander Sidorenkov (the executive office) and silver was won by his colleague from the Western service zone Alexey Anisimov.
The men’s and women’s teams of Smolenskenergo also excelled in a 4 to 100 metres relay race. Gold was taken by women of the executive office, and silver went to colleagues from the west of the region. The men’s team of the executive office took the 2nd place, ahead of young people from the Southern Distribution Zone. Thus, in the team competition in athletics the executive office team deserved gold, gaining the maximum number of awards, and silver went to their colleagues from the Western zone of electrical networks service.
In the streetball competition athletes of Smolenskenergo took also places. The top step of the podium went to the team from the executive office, and the second to their colleagues from the Central service zone.
In the darts competition athletes of Smolenskenergo took all three award places. Representatives of the executive office were distinguished in swimming, having taken the first and second places at a distance of 50 m and among women and men, thus bringing their team to the 1st place. Their colleagues from the Central zone took the third place in the team swimming competition.
The chess competition in the individual standings among women the 2nd place was won by Irina Zaitseva from the executive office of the branch, 3rd place by Nadezhda Tikhomirova from Central Distribution Zone. Gold among men was taken by Sergey Ryabchenkov, who is also from Central Distribution Zone. The executive office of the branch won in the chess team standing.
Representatives of Smolensk City Distribution Zone were distinguished in the table tennis competitions in individual and team standings - Egor Kulakov got the 2nd place and the team took bronze.
Thus, representatives of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division in total in the course of the sports games won 46 gold, 44 silver and 38 bronze medals.
In the team event among departments of Smolenskenergo the executive office took gold (7 first places out of 10 sports), and bronze went to the team of the Western zone of electrical networks service.
In the team event among power companies the winner was IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division and the challenge cup again was in the collection of awards of the branch. All winners were awarded with medals, diplomas.
Smolenskenergo pays great importance to a healthy lifestyle and sports. During the year employees of the branch go to swimming pools and sports facilities. The branch holds annually corporate competitions in bowling, billiards, paintball, volleyball dedicated to the Power Engineers’ Day, friendly games with other branches of IDGC of Centre in various sports.
