Specialists of Kostromaenergo conducted a tour for future power engineers

IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division held a tour for students of the Kostroma State Technological University. The event was organized as part of career guidance made by power engineers, which aims to attract promising young staff to the enterprise.

The tour began with a visit of students to the Grid Control Centre (GCC). Chief of Operations and Technology Group of the GCC of Kostromaenergo Sergey Shuvalov told them of the remote control system with which substations are controlled, collection and transmission of operational information is performed, and process violations are prevented and removed. The young people had particular interest in video cubes, which displays the mnemonic circuit (video wall) for an operator of the GCC of Kostromaenergo. A big screen of the sharing system allows to real-time monitor the situation of power supply to consumers in the region, to control the parameters of electric modes and parameters of the equipment of the branch.

The acquaintance of the students with the enterprise continued at the 110/35/10 kV Substation "Severnaya". This power facility is one of the most modern in the Kostroma power system. It operates in the automatic mode, all of its operating parameters are remotely monitored by experts of the GCC. At the Substation "Severnaya" the students saw how the remote control of the substation is implemented, and what equipment is used at such facilities. The tour ended in the museum of history of the Kostroma power system.

"Getting acquainted with the enterprise, its history is an important component of the overall image of Kostromaenergo. Thus, we help students not only learn more about their chosen profession, but also plan the future, determine the place of work. Indeed, experience shows that many of the young people, having become acquainted with our company, eventually choose it for future employment," stresses Head of Human Resources of the branch Nadezhda Muravyeva.
