As part of the investment program of this year IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division will perform grid connection of 40 socially important budgetary institutions with their total capacity of 7.4 MW, including 18 kindergartens, 7 schools, 6 hospitals, 2 fitness centres and two cultural institutions. About 268 million rubles will be allocated for these purposes. Power engineers will construct over 43 km of power lines of 0.4-10 kV to connect to the grid.
In the first half of the year electricity has already been provided to a comprehensive school in Korocha, the Ice Arena "Druzhba" in Rakitnoye and the Cultural Centre of Shebekino and five kindergartens in Belgorodsky, Gubkinsky and Alexeyevsky districts. The total length of 0.4-10 kV power lines constructed exceeded 5 km, the capacity of the connected facilities - about 2.75 MW.
The priority of the regional government is the construction and reconstruction of pre-school educational institutions. This year the work on the creation of additional places in kindergartens will continue. So, in May a new building was opened, an extension to kindergarten # 4 for 100 places in the settlement of Maysky of Belgorod district. The project took less than a year, the power engineers, in turn, performed quickly their part of the work on the connection of the extension to the electricity network.
In January the Ice Arena "Druzhba" was opened in the settlement of Rakitnoye. The power engineers provided grid connection of the facility with the 2nd category of reliability, having installed 2 package transformer substations of 630 kVA each and constructed 250 metres of a 10 kV line. The sports palace was built with the latest technologies. The maximum capacity of the ice field is 120 people. The stands can accommodate 197 people. There one can practice winter sports, hold mass skating sessions.
All work on the grid connection is made using modern electrical equipment, providing a high level of electrical safety. Overhead power lines in the reconstruction are removed out of the premises of educational institutions, transferred to a cable or constructed using a safe insulated wire. Package transformer substations of a kiosk-type are installed near hospitals, schools and kindergartens, which provide protection against unauthorized access.
