June 27, 2015 a terrible accident on the highway Smolensk - Monastyrschina shook the Smolensk region. Near the village of Sanniki a car driver lost control and crashed into a "Gazelle" car. Both vehicles caught fire. A young employee of Smolensk City Distribution Zone of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division Nikolay Efremenkov, who witnessed the accident, at the risk of his own life immediately rushed to help. "Dozens of witnesses were idle, and Nikolay kept his head up and saved a man's life," proudly tell his colleagues.
He pulled an unconscious victim out of the lit car as a result of the traffic accident, and gave first aid, called the emergency rescue service. Only arrived at the site specialists of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry could extinguish the burning cars. The cars burned completely.
As described in the Human Resources Office of Smolenskenergo Nikolay Efremenkov has been working at the branch since 2013. He came as an engineer of the Production-technical group of Smolensk City Distribution Zone of Smolenskenergo after receiving higher education at Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "National Research University "MPEI". During his work he gained a reputation of a great specialist, an executive and operational employee. Among his personal qualities colleagues note indifference to misfortunes of others.
For courage and bravery Nikolay Efremenkov will receive an award from the General Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in the Smolensk region.
