Bryanskenergo encourages debtors to comply with the payment discipline

23.06.2015

Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Bryanskenergo division continue to improve the payment discipline of consumers for electricity transmitted and collect overdue receivables.

For five months in 2015 as a result of the joint work of lawyers, economists and specialists in the electricity delivery of the branch court decisions on the claims of a total amount of 276 million rubles were obtained. The proportion of satisfied claims by the court was 99%. The repayment of arrears, formed at the beginning of 2015, was offset by 157 million rubles of previously uncollected funds.

Specific solutions for each organization having debt to Bryanskenergo are developed jointly with the Government of the Bryansk region. The regional executive authorities are interested in improving the situation, because the funds from providing electricity transmission services by Bryanskenergo are destined for repair and modernization of power grids and facilities, including large industrial enterprises, schools, hospitals, kindergartens, and apartment houses. The presence of debt makes it difficult to meet the obligations by the power company to ensure reliable power supply in the region.

During regular meetings initiated by the Group of Companies "Russian Grids" at the Regional Government the Commission to monitor the situation with payments for electricity and services to its transmission to the electricity sector companies obliges debtors to provide realistic repayment schedules and consistently implement them. So at the next meeting, held in late May of this year, issues of payment to suppliers of energy services under the obligations of the local budget, the population, the payment of benefits and subsidies were addressed, and reports of heads of municipal administrations and regional institutions of the region were heard. The Commission made specific decisions on repayment of the debt of each municipality in the region.

"Bryanskenergo emphasizes "peaceful" ways of resolving the situation," stressed Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Bryanskenergo division director Roman Stefanov. "Within the framework of regular meetings of the Regional Commission to monitor the situation with payments for electricity such solutions are worked out that in compliance with the legitimate rights of all stakeholders will improve the payment discipline of consumers for electricity, its transmission services, to ensure the financial stability of the electric grid complex of the Bryansk region, quality and uninterrupted power supply to consumers without resorting to emergency measures."
