Kurskenergo in collaboration with leading educational institutions in the region recruits young professionals

IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division pays serious attention to the work of attracting young promising employees. Most of the work in this direction is carried out in collaboration with institutions of the Kursk region, training specialists in the field of electricity. Together with them the branch implements a range of activities aimed at attracting talented graduates to the company, increasing young people’s interest in the electricity industry.

Within regular meetings with the teaching staff of educational institutions specialists of Kurskenergo acquaint them with the new equipment, which is being implemented at electric grid facilities of the Kursk region. Together with the teachers the power engineers determine what knowledge and skills young employees must have to meet modern requirements of their chosen profession.

Kurskenergo is also actively involved in the implementation of career guidance programs of educational institutions. Tours to power facilities, meetings with the leadership of the company are set up for students.

Every year, students of specialized higher and secondary special educational institutions practice in subdivisions of Kurskenergo. Students from the Ivanovo region also come here for internship. For example, currently third year students of the Ivanovo Power Engineering University learn the basics of the profession at facilities of the Kursk power grid. The young people are maximally involved in the workflow, get useful experience and skills. At the end of the practice the most educated and advanced power engineers will remain to work at the branch.

A large part of the young professionals of the company are graduates of Southwestern State University (SWSU) - one of the best universities in the country. To date, more than 600 graduates of this institution work at Kurskenergo, including in managerial positions. In July this year, twenty students of the second, third and fourth year of the Department "Power Supply" of SWSU as part of the student group "Power Engineer" will work for the Kursk power grid. Thus, the future power engineers will continue the revived last year in IDGC of Centre tradition of students’ crew movement.
