During the last holiday employees of the Tambov branch of IDGC of Centre together with their families made a sightseeing trip to Tatarstan. They visited the capital of the republic - the city of Kazan, as well as the largest active monastery of Kazan eparchy of the Russian Orthodox Church - the Raifa Bogoroditsky Monastery in Zelenodolsky district. The trip was organized by the trade union committee of the company.
During the tour of Kazan the power engineers visited the architectural monuments: Saint Peter and Paul Cathedral, the Museum of the millennium of Kazan, the Temple of all religions. They visited the Freedom Square and the Kazanka river embankment, overlooking the magnificent panorama "Kazan Riviera", and toured the historical and cultural conservation area "Old Tatar settlement", including 75 monuments of history and culture. An important point of the tour route was the Kazan Kremlin - the monument of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage, which is located on the territory of the main shrine of the Republic of Tatarstan - the Kul Sharif Mosque.
In the Raifa Bogoroditsky Monastery the tourists saw the stored there miraculous icon of the Georgian Mother of God, took a walk in the centuries-old pine forest and the shores of the reserved Lake of Raifa.
"Kazan is considered to be the third capital of Russia, which is striking in its grandeur and beauty. The city impressed with a lot of sights and a high level of hospitality. The main symbol of the capital of Tatarstan is the Kazan Kremlin, like Arabian nights. Here you can see the beautiful Kul Sharif Mosque, the ancient Cathedral of the Annunciation, and the legendary tower of Syuyumbike. The trip made a lot of positive emotions," said a leading engineer of IT operation of Tambovenergo Sergey Tikhonov.
"The organization of leisure of staff is one of the main activities of the trade union committee, based on the principles of social responsibility and partnership. Whenever possible, we try to let them spend a good holiday, visit with their families interesting historical places in Russia and neighbouring countries, get useful knowledge and thrills," stressed the chairman of the trade union committee of Tambovenergo Igor Filatyev.
