IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division was awarded by organizers of the XV Kursk Korensk Fair, held from 13 to 14 June in the town of Svoboda of the Kursk region. Governor of the Kursk region Alexander Mikhailov handed the medal in the nomination "For active investment activities" to Director of the branch Alexander Rudnevsky.
The revived in 2001 fair has been held for 15 years in a row, is a significant event not only for the Kursk region, but for the whole Central Federal District. This year it was attended by more than 560 companies and organizations from the Crimea, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Voronezh, Murmansk, Orel, Kaluga regions of Russia, as well as ten countries: Bulgaria, Korea, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Armenia, Hungary, Moldova, Serbia, Malaysia and Kyrgyzstan. As part of the fair the IV Srednerussky Economic Forum was held, which brought together more than 1,400 participants. It discussed the most topical issues of the Central Russia and formed the main directions of the future economic policy of the region.
Kurskenergo has participated in the Korensk Fair for the tenth year. At the booth of the enterprise power engineers conduct a presentation of services of the branch, talk about the possibilities and procedures of grid connection. This year's main exhibition of Kurskenergo is located in the centre of the fairground, in the pavilion "Regions of the Central Federal District", supervised by the Committee of Housing and Public Utilities and Energy of the Kursk region. Participants and guests of the fair were presented a new service - "turnkey" grid connection where all work related to the competence of the customer in the grid connection procedure is taken over by specialists of the branch.
In the neighbourhood with the booth of Kurskenergo there was a visiting customer service centre (CSC) of the branch where residents of the Kursk region can get detailed advice on the process of connection, apply for the replacement of meters, consult on other matters of energy supply.
A quiz on energy saving caused great interest among visitors to the exhibition of Kurskenergo. In an interactive panel anyone could test his or her knowledge by choosing to answer questions related to energy savings. All participants of the quiz, in addition to recommendations of how to reduce energy consumption in the home and therefore the cost of their payment, received souvenirs from the power engineers.
For young visitors to the fair Kurskenergo’s experts organized a drawing competition on the asphalt. The power engineers proposed children to depict how they understand their work. The children with diligence were drawing with crayons poles, power lines, houses with lighted windows, and electricians at work. At the end of the competition all the participants were awarded with sweet prizes and books "Energolandiya" on the basic rules of electrical safety.
