During routine checks of the status of protected zones of power lines of 6-10-110 kV in 2014 specialists of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division found 158 violations, most of which, namely 107, were violations on the part of individuals. 85% of the violations were eliminated within the established rules of corporate terms, the rest are eliminated by the courts. Unanswered notifications of power engineers were redirected to the Upper Don RTN Office in the Lipetsk region and the Prosecutor's Office of the Lipetsk region.
The main part of the violations was due to non-compliance with the rules of the establishment of security zones of power facilities and special conditions of use of land located within the boundaries of these zones. These include placing facilities - garages or other non-residential, industrial premises in places prohibited by law, cases of planting trees in protected areas and under power lines, performance of construction work without authorization from power engineers.
Please, be reminded that the buffer zone is established along overhead power lines in the form of land and airspace, restricted in both directions for lines of 1 kV to 20 kV - 10 meters, 35 kV - 15 meters, 110 kV - 20 meters.
In the buffer zone of power lines it is forbidden to perform construction, repair and demolition of all buildings and structures; to carry out all kinds of mining, blasting, reclamation work; to plant trees, water crops; to arrange landfill space and storage; to locate gas stations; to clutter entrances and approaches to power line poles; to make a fire, set up sports grounds, bus stops, as well as to carry out any activities related to large crowds.
Violation of security zones of power lines incur considerable material losses for citizens and organizations, have negative impact on the reliability of power supply and can cause accidents.
In connection with this Lipetskenergo’s power engineers once again warn that the organization of any types of work in protected areas of power lines requires obligatory agreement and written permission of power engineers.
