19.02.2015

Power engineers of the Kostroma branch of IDGC of Centre took part in the International Book Giving Day. About 800 copies of books from children's and learning, to artistic, scientific and educational were collected and transferred by employees of Kostromaenergo to the Kostroma Regional Universal Scientific Library.

"We are grateful to the power engineers for such a gift, they were the first to respond to our campaign," says Head of the department of library acquisition Olga Rytova. "Many of the books will be sent to rural libraries where they are particularly in demand."

The Book Giving Day is one of the youngest in the calendar of holidays, uniting all who give books to children and instilling love of reading. The Kostroma Regional Universal Scientific Library runs such a day for the first time.

Kostromaenergo is a socially oriented enterprise, actively participates in regional promotions and contests. "The Book Giving Day united all of our employees. A large number of books were devoted to the Great Patriotic War, we hope that in the year of the 70th anniversary of the Victory these books will be particularly relevant for urban and rural schoolchildren," comments Head of Human Resources of IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division. "Our Youth Council took an active part in the action as always."
