Tambovenergo performs work on clearing and extension of ROWs ahead of schedule

IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division is successful performing the program for clearing and extension of ROWs of overhead power lines (Conductors), scheduled for the current 2014. The work is ahead of schedule. For ten months of 2014 Tambov power engineers have cleared 547 hectares, which is 5% higher than the target for the period (521 ha). Measures to extend the ROWs of overhead power lines were completed in 223.84 hectares, which is also above the plan. The annual plan of the branch for clearing ROWs is 557.36 ha, for extension - 251.11 ha.

The most significant amount of work falls on the territory of Morshansky, Pichaevsky, Kirsanovsky, Rasskazovsky districts where forests occupy large areas. The overall area of forest plantations in the Tambov region is more than 10% of the region.

In the course of performing the work the power engineers use modern high-performance machinery, in particular, mulchers. While using them cut wood shoots and shrubs are utilized by grinding into wood chips, which remain on the surface. Using the tools and technology of a new generation allows clearing ROWs in the shortest possible time, without harming the environment, and the risk of fire situations in the forests.
