IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division comprehensively reconstructs the power grid infrastructure of the settlement of Maslova Pristan in Shebekinsky district. The capex under the project will exceed 120 million rubles, of which over 50% has been already developed by the company. Completion is targeted for the end of 2014.
The comprehensive reconstruction method provides a complete redesign of the power supply system. First of all, it is replacement of worn-out, outdated grids, installation of new substations and setting up modern electricity metering systems and street lighting.
Modernization of the grid complex of the Maslovopristansky rural settlement, on the territory of which there are more than seven thousand people residing, is necessary not only because of the wear and tear of power equipment. In the near future there will be a multi-recreational complex created with a sports bias. In 2013-2014 beautification of domestic territories is under way in accordance with European standards in the settlement. Such plans require complex repair, replacement, putting in order all the systems, and first of all, the power supply one.
Since the beginning of the year Belgorodenergo has reconstructed in the settlement more than 25 km of power lines of 0.4-10 kV, installed 11 modern package transformer substations of a kiosk type. Totally in the settlement by the end of the year there will be about 42 km of new power lines and 12 package transformer substations with a total capacity of 2.6 MW. Power lines in the settlement are being constructed using reliable insulated wires and cables with XLPE insulation. These materials are much more practical than conventional ones in conditions of overloads and short circuits, as well as ensure the safe operation of power equipment.
Electrical network of the centre of the settlement will be made with the cable design that meets modern requirements of electrical safety and aesthetics.
Along with the power lines new energy-efficient lighting fixtures are installed, the work of which a modern automated system will control, which allows to set up lighting modes remotely the control panel of an operator. New meters were mounted on facades of houses to read electricity.
Reliable and uninterrupted power supply to consumers will be provided by a modernized and remotely controlled 10 kV distribution point "Maslova Pristan", as well as three reclosers installed in the grid of 10 kV and are designed to automatically shut off damaged sections of the grid and switch on backup power without interrupting the power supply for most of residents of the settlement. Smooth operation of the reclosers themselves in the event of loss of external power supply will be provided with batteries.
In the distribution point modern switchgear with vacuum circuit breakers and microprocessor-based relay protection and automation will be mounted, a modern software system will be set up designed for transmission of telemetry data to the control panel of an operator of Shebekinsky Distribution Zone and the Grid Control Centre of Belgorodenergo. The operator will remotely control the equipment via a digital communication channel for the setup of which the power engineers laid a fiber-optic link. The reclosers will be also remotely controlled from the control panel of an operator of Shebekinsky Distribution Zone.
After the completion of the comprehensive modernization the grid of Maslova Pristan will meet modern electrical standards.
