IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division completed competitions in athletics. They were held within the first stage of the XV Sports Games, held in Kurskenergo during the year. Employees of production sites and the executive office participated in the competition, who competed in four running disciplines: women in the 100 and 1000 meters race, men - 100 and 3000 meters.
According to the results of the competition the victory in the team competition, as in the past year, was taken by the team of the Central site. The second place went to athletes of the executive office. The third place was won by the team of the Eastern section.
Electrician of Zolotukhinsky Distribution Zone Artyom Mikhailov excelled among men under 35 years old in the 100 meter race, and Electrical Fitter Vladimir Bocharov from the Substation Service of the Central section in the race for men over 35 years old. These athletes are the first in their age category and in the 1000 meters race. It should be noted that Artyom Mikhailov participated in the Sports Games for the first time.
The competition was higher among women. In the category up to 35 years of age Technician of Medvensky Distribution Zone Olga Grechkina ran the 100 meters race the best, and Specialist of the Customer Service Centre Anna Zozulya was the first to finish in the age group of over 35 years old. In the women's 1000 meters race in the category up to 35 years old Engineer of the Electric Modes Service Lyudmila Kireeva finished first and Laboratory Engineer of the Central diagnostics laboratory Elena Telenina in the senior age category.
Presenting awards to the winners, Head of Human Resources of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division Gennady Demekhin stressed that mass sports, which the company pays great attention to, and active participation of young professionals in sports activities allows each person to discover his or her abilities, and forms a common corporate culture of IDGC of Centre.
Now the best athletes of Kurskenergo will defend the honour of the branch at the Sports Games of IDGC of Centre, which will be held in August in the Tambov region. And competitions of the XV Sports Games of Kurskenergo will continue until December: the branch has yet to determine the best in mini-football, volleyball, chess and table tennis. The Sports Games results will be announced on the eve of the Power Engineers’ Day.
