Bryanskenergo continues to reduce losses in grids

IDGC of Centre - Bryanskenergo division held a regular meeting of the Staff to reduce electric energy losses. The participants discussed the results of work in the 1st quarter of 2014 and plans for future activities.

The meeting noted that in the 1st quarter the level of electric energy losses in grids of the branch was 5.89%, which is 1.14% below the plan. With respect to the fact of 2013 the losses decreased by 0.74%. Systematic implementation of measures by Bryanskenergo for the prevention of non-metered and non-contractual electricity consumption, implementation of energy-efficient equipment and technologies contributed to the performance improvement.

At the meeting it was noted that the best performance in the branch in terms of losses was achieved by Klimovsky Distribution Zone. The value of the actual losses on mixed feeders in distribution networks of 6/10/0.4 kV in 1Q amounted to 16.71% there. This achievement was noted by Bryanskenergo’s management: at the meeting the branch director Roman Stefanov said that for the best results in the branch in terms of losses the Klimovsky Distribution Zone will be awarded a new Toyota car.

Good performance in terms of reducing losses was achieved by Bryansky, Dubrovsky, Novozybkovsky, Zlynkovsky, Pogarsky and Mglinsky Distribution Zones. The positive results were achieved through the active work on the replacement of meters and taking their control readings. Measures on clearing ROWs and replacing underloaded power transformers also gave good effect.

Summing up the meeting of the Staff, Director of IDGC of Centre - Bryanskenergo division Roman Stefanov instructed the chiefs of the Distribution Zones in the first place those having a negative trend in the work with electric energy losses to strengthen the efforts in this area and noted that the daily step by step work on reducing losses in the grids is a crucial point in the implementation of the energy efficiency policy. Meetings where in one hall several members to this process gather — it's a good way to look at the problem from all sides, and therefore to become a little closer to solving it, because the work on reducing the losses in the electric grids is one of the priorities of the branch.

Reduction of electric energy losses in the grids is one of the priorities of Bryanskenergo’s activity. The result of this work is to increase the net supply of electric power and as a consequence - the ability to allocate additional funds for the construction, modernization and repair of power facilities. As a result, it can improve the quality and reliability of power supply to consumers.
