06.05.2014

Staff of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division, members of the Youth Council of the branch participated in a large-scale socio-ecological action "Let’s save the energy of the forest" during which they planted more than 300 young trees in parks and gardens in five districts of the Tambov region, as well as in the regional centre. In 2014, planting trees timed to the 10th anniversary of the incorporation of IDGC of Centre.

An annual event in the service area of IDGC of Centre aims to attract public attention to the issues of restoring the natural balance, keeping the forest wealth and educating the younger generation on the values of the environment.

"The purpose of the action is to save native land environmentally clean and beautiful," says Chief of Staff of Tambovenergo Andrey Remizov. "Therefore, the action "Let’s save the energy of the forest" is constant and held in all 11 regions where IDGC of Centre operates."

This year's tree planting was organized jointly with the members of the party "United Russia".

On the eve of May Day in the courtyards in Rabochaya Street of the regional centre the power engineers planted over sixty birch and rowan trees. According to Tambov power engineers of IDGC of Centre, this work not only brings purely practical benefits, but also has great educational value. Indeed, in the course of this public activity activists set an example to Tambov residents of how to do hometown cleaner and more beautiful.

As Chairman of the Council of the territory "Voznesensky" Nina Fomina says, such events are vital because Tambov residents are interested in the improvement of courtyards, which involves not only the asphalt, but also planting trees and shrubs.

"Rabochaya Street is known for the fact that over the years there lived heroes of the Great Patriotic War, the Soviet Union, combatants in Afghanistan and Chechnya. So we are very thankful that we for the seventieth anniversary of the Victory Day, which we all will celebrate next year, will have a square and trees," says Nina Fomina. "Many thanks to the power engineers for it!"

Along with other regional territories the action "Let’s save the energy of the forest" was held in the village of Kovylka of Kirsanovsky district, where there is a memorial to the soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War. The new park was laid in 2012. This year employees of Kirsanovsky Distribution Zone together with pupils of Kovylsky secondary school planted 30 spruce seedlings, increasing the area of the park.
