Tambovenergo increases the efficiency of managing the grid infrastructure

03.04.2014

IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division continues the process to install remote control of high voltage power facilities. Activities include the expansion and modernization with the transfer to an automated mode of a data collection and transmission system at 110 kV substations, as well as the program for improving observability. This work is part of implementation of the investment program of the branch.

Over 2013 the remote control was fully installed at six substations of Tambovenergo: "Inzhavinskaya", "Ilovayskaya", "Kovylskaya", "Kirsanovskaya", "Morshanskaya" and "Kamvolnaya". At the substation "Inzhavinskaya" the data collection and transmission system was put into operation ahead of schedule, the remaining power facilities - in due time. Design and survey work on the remote control was completed for three 110 kV substations, included in the program of modernization and expansion of the data collection and transmission system in 2014, as well as for eight substations of 110 kV and thirteen substations of 35 kV under the program for improving observability. Also within the data collection and transmission system program satellite and high frequency communication channels construction was completed at those power facilities in 2013.

Automatic data collection and transmission from the substation level to the level of the Grid Control Centre of Tambovenergo allows rapid processing of technology information in real time as well as the ability to view archives of technology data, regardless of the period of limitation. "In the end, it will enhance the efficiency of management of distribution networks, providing reliable and uninterrupted power supply to consumers of the Tambov region," stressed Deputy Director for Technical Issues - Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division Igor Polyakov.
