Rescue Service of the Kostroma region was distinguished with a certificate

The Rescue Energy and Blackout Service of the Kostroma region, created on the site of IDGC of Centre — Kostromenergo division, was recognized as the best rescue service in 2013. A certificate «for quality planning of measures to protect the population from emergency situations and civil defense measures, practical help to solve problems in the liquidation of emergencies in municipalities» was handed over to the branch by Chief of General Directorate of EMERCOM of Russia in the Kostroma region Denis Sychev.

The Rescue Energy and Blackout Service of the Kostroma region aims to provide sustainable power supply in the Kostroma region in peacetime and wartime. Employees of the service organize work to eliminate natural and man-made emergency situations at power supply facilities, are engaged in the formation of an emergency reserve and maintaining its availability, keep records of unauthorized emergency-rescue teams, who are members of the service, organizations and agencies involved for solving civil defense tasks, their manning, equipment and property.

In total there are 13 rescue services with different tasks in the Kostroma region. Except for Kostromaenergo’s employees the Rescue Energy and Blackout Service includes a branch of SO UES — Kostroma Transmission Control Centre. The head of the rescue service is Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre — Kostromenergo division director Alexander Glebov. Activities of the service are carried out in close collaboration with other emergency services of the region, General Directorate of EMERCOM of Russia in the Kostroma region, and the Regional Administration.
