The first stage of production practice of students of Polytechnic College has started at Smolenskenergo

In early December, 16 students of the regional state educational institution of vocational education «Smolensk Polytechnic College» came for practice at IDGC of Centre — Smolenskenergo division.

The 3rd year students on the specialty «Technical operation and maintenance of electrical and electromechanical equipment» to the end of the year will pass the first stage of their practice at the branch. On the site of the institution there was a meeting of trainees at which representatives of Smolenskenergo told about structural units, as well as goals and objectives of the practice.

The students will acquire their first future profession skills in Smolensky, Velizhsky, Pochinkovsky, Dukhovschinsky, Safonovsky, Yartsevsky and other Distribution Zones. Several students will practice in the western sections of the substation service and malfunction diagnostic service.

During the production practice at Smolenskenergo the future power engineers will learn about the basic directions of IDGC of Centre’s activity, the prospects for development of the energy sector of the country, will acquire practical skills, get a feel for the importance of the profession. The practice will be held under the guidance of experienced professionals ready to answer any production issues.

The second stage of the practice is scheduled for April 28 — May 31, 2014.
