IDGC of Centre — Kurskenergo division has summed up the grid connection for nine months. During this period specialists of the branch connected 1,345 facilities to the grid — 11% more than the same period last year. The total connected capacity is 25.8 MW.

Among the major consumers connected to networks of Kurskenergo this year are industrial enterprises «Hope» (total capacity of 0.550 MW) and «Schigry Glavprodukt» (total capacity of 1,495 MW), providing the eastern districts of the region with cheap agricultural products and jobs.

Until the end of 2013 Kurskenergo plans to implement a number of other large-scale grid connection projects. Among them is grid connection of a pig farm of «Renaissance» Ltd. in Pristensky district. Within the project Kursk power engineers are constructing a transformer substation 110/10 kV «Renaissance» with two power transformers of 10 MVA each. The total capacity of the facilities, which will be put into operation before the end of the year, will amount to 7.6 MW.

Thus, specialists of grid connection Office of the branch are preparing documents for grid connection of a meat-packing house, located on the territory of the Linetsky village council of Zheleznogorsky district (maximum capacity of 13.5 MW) and a construction base of Kursk Nuclear Power Plant-2 (capacity of 17 MW). For these consumers in 2014 it is scheduled to perform the construction of two new substations of 110/10 kV.
