Smolenskenergo is stepping up the pace of grid connection

For the first six months of 2013 power engineers of IDGC of Centre — Smolenskenergo division have fulfilled the obligations on grid connection of consumers to electric networks of Smolenskenergo for 1281 contracts. This figure is 2.73% more than in 2012. Of the total amount of the executed contracts 965 agreements were concluded with residential customers for 9.81 MW. The total capacity of connected facilities was more than 31.5 MW, revenue from services was 40.13 million rubles, excluding VAT. The most active grid connection in the region is still in the area of individual housing and small businesses. During the reporting period a number of large facilities were connected, including a production site of OJSC «Promtekhmontazh» at 1,200 kW, a feed mill of CJSC «Troparevo» (capacity of 20 tons/hour) at 1,171 kW, and LLC «Grazhdanstroy» (residential buildings) at 560 kW. In the reporting period, specialists of Smolenskenergo supplied power to infrastructure facilities as part of the long-term program implementation «Preparation for the celebration of the 1150th anniversary of the city of Smolensk for 2010-2013» in accordance with the decree of the President of the Russian Federation. Among them there is the Federal Centre of Traumatology, Orthopaedics and Prosthetics, the Smolensk Regional Clinical Oncology Dispensary; a parish church in honour of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God, an outbuilding of the State Historical and Cultural and Natural Museum named after A. S. Griboyedov, etc.
