Bryansk power engineers are ready for cold weather

IDGC of Centre — Bryanskenergo division is completing the preparatory work for the autumn-winter 2013-2014 operation period and plans already in the end of September to get its certificate of readiness.

This year, preparations started earlier than usual and are going at a more intense pace.

Following the results of 8 months the repair program of the year against the plan has been completed by 82%, thus clearing ROWs — by 97.7%, and expansion of ROWs — by 77.5%.

Since the beginning of the year Bryanskenergo’s experts have carried out a complex repair of five substations of 35-110 kV, eight transformers of 35-110 kV, 469 transformer substations, 50 oil circuit breakers of 35-110 kV, 1470 km of 0.4-10 kV overhead lines and 743 km of 35-110 kV overhead lines. They have also repaired means of supervisory control, relay protection and automation, buildings and structures, vehicles.

«The preparation of the branch is in accordance with approved plans. All of the preparations for the autumn- winter period must be completed by September 24 — the day of obtaining a certificate of readiness. Quality and timely execution of planned activities is the key to reliable power supply in the region in the autumn- winter period,» said Advisor to General Director and Acting Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre — Bryanskenergo division director Roman Stefanov. «Thanks to the efforts of Bryansk power engineers there should be no power outages in the coming winter.»

For 8 months of 2013 ROWs along power lines of all voltage classes have been cleared in an area of 717.59 hectares, accounting for 119% of the planned volume of 8 months. 16.6 million rubles have been spent on it. Totally for 2013 it is planned to clear 734.21 hectares of ROWs along overhead lines from bushes and undergrowth. This year, almost 18.3 million rubles will be spent on it.
