An expanded meeting was chaired by Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre — director of the branch Ivan Kleymenov. It was attended by deputies director of the branch, department heads and chiefs of 33 distribution zones of the branch. The main agenda was the outcome of the productive activity of Distribution Zones in the first half of 2013, as well as key challenges for the second half year.
During the meeting the power engineers discussed the implementation of the repair and maintenance program — a strategically important issue in preparation for the autumn- winter peak loads. Thus, following the results of seven months the repair work plan of Voronezhenergo has been executed by 100.1%, the plan for clearing ROWs along power lines — by 107.1%, and extension of ROWs — by 100.1%. The main task of the second half year is the timely completion of all repairs and obtaining the certificate of readiness for the 2013-2014 autumn-winter operation period.
The heads of the Voronezh branch also discussed the current work on electricity supply and reduction of transmission losses, in particular, the interaction of Chiefs of the Distribution Zones with internal affairs agencies to detect and deter non-contractual and non-metered electricity consumption. An important part of the meeting was to discuss the direction of the customers’ activities and promotion of additional services of the branch among the region’s population.
Much attention was paid to the activity of the Distribution Zones in the area of reliability and safety, and the prevention of electrical injuries at power facilities. In the first half of the year the branch has done a great job in this area — in all district schools in the region lessons on electrical safety were conducted, posters and leaflets with the rules of behaviour near power facilities were distributed in the districts. With the efforts of Voronezhenergo’s specialists from September this year electrical safety lessons will be conducted in all district schools on a monthly basis.
According to Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre — Voronezhenergo division director Ivan Kleymenov, in person production meetings more effectively reflect the work of the Distribution Zones. «These working meetings allow immediately not only to solve production issues, respond to requests of colleagues and evaluate the performance of structural units, but also to have fruitful exchange of experience,» said Ivan Kleymenov.
