Voronezhenergo increases the reliability of electricity supply of Ramonsky district

06.08.2013

As part of the investment program in 2013 Voronezh power engineers of IDGC of Centre are implementing a large-scale reconstruction of power facilities of Ramonsky district — the largest agro-industrial, economic and cultural centre of the northern part of the Voronezh region.

Since the beginning of this year, specialists of Voronezhenergo have already performed reconstruction of ten package transformer substations, more than 13 km of 10 kV overhead power lines and more than 22 km of 0.4 kV overhead lines in the district. The power engineers have also converted voltage of package transformer substation 53 from 6 kV to a higher voltage class of 10 kV.

With the increasing loads in Ramonsky district, this year modernization of 35/10/6 kV substation «Ramon-1» will be performed, during which the capacity of power transformers will be increased from 4 MVA to 6.3 MVA, and their change from 6 kV to 10 kV will be made. The increased capacity will allow for further grid connection of new consumers in the rapidly developing Ramonsky district.

The large-scale reconstruction of the district energy system has continued for two years, since 2012. Last year, the power engineers of Voronezhenergo reconstructed 56 package transformer substations, over 137 km of 0.4 kV overhead lines and nearly 25 km of 10 kV overhead lines.

Arrangements for the large-scale reconstruction can not only provide reliable and quality power supply to consumers of Ramonsky district, but also give a powerful impetus for its further socio-economic development. So in 2012, the re-equipment made it possible for the largest in the region agro-industrial enterprise LLC «Zarechnoye» to supply to the grid and connect to the grid of the branch, realizing the strategically important for the region project on development of beef cattle breeding.
