In anticipation of the new school year power engineers of IDGC of Centre — Lipetskenergo division implemented a number of measures to enhance energy safety of educational institutions.
The first thing the branch’s power engineers performed an additional inspection of power installations, checking the integrity of the fencing, locking devices and the availability of additional information signs and posters warning of the danger of electric shock.
As part of efforts to prevent injuries to children the power engineers continue to work on the removal of power facilities from the premises of schools and children’s educational institutions. This year, they have been removed 0.66 km of overhead and cable lines of 0.4-10 kV and transformer substations from the premises of the high school in the village of Veshalovka of Lipetsk district, school number 23 in Yelets of Yeletsky district and number 1 in the town of Gryazy of Griyzinsky district. The reconstruction of the power lines was performed with the use of modern and safe self-supporting insulated wire.
