In the administration of the Lipetsk region a meeting on the preparation for the upcoming autumn-winter operation period was held. Chief Engineer of the branch Alexander Kornilov reported the readiness of IDGC of Centre — Lipetskenergo division.
The repair program of Lipetskenergo is being performed in accordance with the planned schedule. For 6 months of the year power engineers have repaired 78 transformer substations of 0.4-10 kV; 649.32 km of overhead and cable power lines of 0.4-110 kV; cleared of shrubs and woody undergrowth and trees 182.51 hectares of ROWs along power lines of 0.4 −110 kV. Until October 1, the date of completion of the preparation to the autumn-winter operation period, Lipetskenergo plans to complete all of the major repairs. The branch will spend 151 million on their implementation.
Simultaneously with the implementation of the repair program Lipetskenergo is performing modernization of energy facilities, work is underway to improve the reliability and efficiency of the equipment in adverse weather conditions, as well as formation of the emergency reserve. In parallel, education and training of operating and maintenance personnel, joint emergency exercises with territorial divisions of EMERCOM and the executive authorities of the region are being held.
The branch gives special attention to prevention occupational accidents and professional development of staff. According to Alexander Kornilov the implementation of all these measures will help further improve the reliability of power supply for consumers and will operate through the autumn-winter 2013-2014 period with confidence.
