Students of Polytechnic College are doing their practical work at Smolenskenergo

As part of the partnership agreement in the field of training of mid-level specialists between IDGC of Centre — Smolenskenrego division and Smolensk Polytechnic College, which was signed in June 2012, production practice has started at Smolenskenergo.

20 third-year college students specializing in «Technical operation and maintenance of electrical and electromechanical equipment» for a month will have their practice directly in workplaces in Distribution Zones of the branch. During it the future power engineers will become familiar with the main activities of IDGC of Centre, will be able to acquire practical skills, get a feel for the uniqueness and importance of the power engineering profession. The practice will be held under the supervision of experienced professionals — Chiefs of Distribution Zones, leading supervisors.

According to the HR head of IDGC of Centre — Smolenskenrego division Alla Korolkova, close cooperation of the branch with educational institutions specializing in power industry is a necessary element in the formation of personnel reserve of the company and the entire industry. Practice in workplaces helps «see» and identify talented and promising graduates who in future will be able to join the ranks of the branch employees.
