Lipetskenergo is involved in the training of highly qualified specialists

In order to prepare highly skilled specialists, whose knowledge and expertise meets modern requirements of the electric grid, to bring them into the industry, IDGC of Centre — Lipetskenergo division has launched a project to promote knowledge about modern methods of management of productive assets in the curricula of specialized educational institutions. The first step in this direction was a lecture for students of the Lipetsk State Technical University, which was conducted by Deputy Chief Engineer — Head of the Production Asset Management Centre of the branch Vladimir Tikhonov.

During his speech, he introduced the future power engineers with the basics of a new management methodology, as well as voiced the challenges and the prospects of the industry development.

IDGC of Centre was one of the first companies that moved to a new international standard for production asset management, allowing to achieve high performance at low cost. At the heart of the new system of management is assessment of technical condition of the equipment. For the third year the repair program the company is formed in an automatic mode with the health index of power supply facilities with the help of a corporate resource management system based on SAP ERP. This software platform provides not only the integration of data, but the interaction of processes in all branches of IDGC of Centre. The results of its implementation are the optimization and centralization of planning of maintenance program, improving the quality of diagnostics data, the possibility of cost analysis, thereby increasing the effectiveness of the distribution of funds.

«In the long term the power engineers plan to improve this management system through the implementation of additional analytical modules that allow to identify development targets and go this way to the level of predicting the reliability of grid elements. So, there are a lot of tasks ahead, I hope that they will be shared by you and us,» summed up Vladimir Tikhonov, who is directly involved in the project to implement the production asset management system.
