Smolenskenergo in 2013 to spend 210 million rubles on repairs

10.06.2013

The planned volume of funding the repair program of IDGC of Centre — Smolenskenrego division in 2013 will be 210 million rubles. These funds will be used to repair power lines, substations, buildings, vehicles and ROW clearing. Funding for the repair program this year is 27.98% more than the previous year.

Thus, Smolensk power engineers of IDGC of Centre in 2013 will be to perform an impressive scope of work. For the year 954.2 km of overhead lines of 110 kV, 1,126.5 km of 35 kV power lines, 963.5 km of 6-10 kV power lines and 177.7 km of 0.4 kV distribution networks will be repaired. The total length of lines being repaired in 2013 is nearly 2 times the length of 2012.

During the year, it is planned to clear 427.7 hectares of ROWs along 110 kV conductors, 607.9 hectares along 35 kV conductors and 1,077.5 hectares along 6-10 kV conductors. 547 transformer substations of 6-10/0.4 kV will be repaired.

In 2013, the comprehensive renovation of 19 substations of 35-110 kV with a total capacity of 267.2 MVA has been planned. The most important of them are the 110/35/6 kV «South» Substation, 110/6/10 kV «Central» Substation and 110/35/10 kV «Shumyachi» Substation. The repair of the substations will be performed over the entire 2013, but 84% of the plan (or 16 substations) will be repaired already in the summer. This will improve the overall reliability of the power system and provide quality and uninterrupted power supply to consumers.

When performing maintenance work at energy facilities Smolensk power engineers of IDGC of Centre apply modern technologies and materials, thereby increasing the life of the equipment and reducing costs for scheduled maintenance. In accordance with the technical policy of IDGC of Centre self-supporting insulated wire SIW is used in the reconstruction of electric power grids.

«The bulk of the work will fall on the second and third quarters of the year. High quality and one hundred percent performance of the repair program will allow timely to prepare for the coming winter. The key to trouble-free operation, reliable operation of power equipment and uninterrupted power supply to consumers in the autumn-winter peak loads is quality repair of equipment in the summer,» underlined the head of the analysis and production management of IDGC of Centre — Smolenskenrego division Vitaly Golubkov.
