An important aspect of the company’s environmental policy is to reduce the risks associated with the operation of oil-filled equipment. Therefore, to reduce the harmful environmental impact the power engineers use modern technologies and materials. This year, the branch will continue to routinely change the obsolete oil switches with modern vacuum and gas-insulated, oil-filled transformer bushings with solid insulation bushings, as well as repair oil receiving and draining devices of all oil-filled transformers and equipment.
Also under the program of environmental policy at 90 facilities of Belgorodenergo, in the buffer zone, instrument measurements of noise and electromagnetic fields will be performed. Experts will monitor compliance with the standards of maximum permissible emissions into the atmosphere, check the chemical composition of waste water and soil in the temporary storage of used transformer oil and scrap metal. For these activities it is planned to allocate a total of about 700 thousand rubles.
In addition, the power engineers will spend 1.5 million rubles on the organization of work on the management of waste, starting from equipping sites for its storage before passing to third parties for processing, recycling and disposal.
The most important component of the environmental policy is to maintain the ecological balance and reducing the impact of industrial activity on the environment. This is facilitated by the traditional mass action «Electric grid complex — for the protection of the environment». Power engineers annually plant in the region thousands of trees and shrubs, lay out new avenues and squares. Thus, over the last two years more than 23,000 trees were planted. The action will continue this year.
