Makaryevsky Distribution Zone of Kostromaenergo has celebrated its half-century anniversary. The ceremony, dedicated to this event, was attended by employees of the Distribution Zone, veterans, representatives of governments at various levels.
At the beginning of the event, Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre — Kostromaenergo division director Alexander Glebov underlined: «This anniversary is inextricably linked with the history of the entire energy sector of the Kostroma region, in the chronicle of victories and achievements of which you have inscribed more than one bright page. Makaryevsky Distribution Zone created incentives to increase production efficiency, and hence the additional impetus to successful development of Makaryevsky district of the region. Today the Distribution Zone — it is a formed team of professionals, ready for new qualitative achievements, which on parity works effectively with all Distribution Zones of Kostromaenergo.»
The value of the work of power engineers for the district of the region is hard to overestimate. This was stressed by the head of the municipal Makaryevsky district Pavel Sharonov: «Workers of the Distribution Zone bring to the house of every person light and heat. In this anniversary year, we say thanks to the power engineers for the profession, which they have chosen for themselves, for their commitment, diligence, good faith, who help the villagers to learn, work and rest!» Heads of rural settlements awarded crews working in Makaryevsky Distribution Zone with certificates and letters of appreciation.
The current generation of power engineers honours the memory of those who started the electrification of Makaryevsky district. In addition to the warm words of gratitude for the selfless work veterans of Makaryevsky Distribution Zone were awarded with letters of thanks of IDGC of Centre — Kostromaenergo division, Veterans’ Council of Makaryevsky municipal district, and letters of appreciation.
For the festive event was an exhibition of photographs was prepared, which reflected the different stages of the history of the formation of the Distribution Zone. In the early 60’s there was no constant supply of electricity from the state grid in Makaryevsky district. Diesel power utilities were in operation, which were connected with a 10 kV power line. In 1967 the 110 kV «Neya- Makaryev» and 110/35/10 kV substation «Makaryev-1» with a transformer of 10,000 kVA were commissioned. In 1970 the 35/10 kV substation «Nikolo-Makarovo» and «Timoshino» with power lines were constructed. In 1972 — the 35/10 kV substation «Gorchukha». With the launch of the substation «Gorchukha» the electrification of Makaryevsky district was completed. Behind all this work there were people — professionals of their business. At the holiday the first chief was remembered, who was heading Makaryevsky Distribution Zone for twenty five years — this is Nikolay Ignatiev, his successor and namesake Alexander Ignatiev, who is now a veteran of Kostromaenergo. He was heading the Distribution Zone for 15 years. With him in 1997 a new production base of Makaryevsky Distribution Zone appeared. In 2009, Alexander Ignatiev was replaced by Sergey Rumyantsev
«The solemn event held is of great importance for the whole branch. The event brought together not only the employees of the Distribution Zone, but also veterans who have seen the evaluation of their work by the district administration, heads of rural settlements, deputies of the council, heads of adjacent structures. This holiday unity symbolized the succession of generations that have worked, are working and will work in the energy sector for both the benefit of their native district, and for the development of the Kostroma region as a whole,» said the head of Human Resources of IDGC of Centre — Kostromaenergo division Nadezhda Muravyova.
