Voronezhenergo’s staff had first aid training

During March the entire staff of IDGC of Centre — Voronezhenergo division had training on the basic first aid to the injured in the workplace. The staff training was held in preparation of the branch for the season of mass preventive maintenance and repair work and prevention of occupational injuries.

The training program, aimed at improving workplace safety, included theoretical classes and resuscitation skills training with a modern simulator. During the training the power engineers viewed a training film and listened to the theoretical part of the basic rules of pre-hospital care, in the classroom also dealt with many real-life situations. After the lecture, each employee worked out practical techniques of resuscitation and arterial bleeding arrest.

According to the labour safety engineer of IDGC of Centre — Voronezhenergo division Sergey Gurov, these classes are held at the branch annually. «Occupational safety and health of employees, safety of workflow — this is one of the main activities of the power grid company. For professionals, involved in the production, it is especially important when needed to be able to properly and timely to provide first aid to the injured,» stressed Sergey Gurov.
