Kursk power engineers helped firefighters save a temple

Clear and coherent actions of professionals of Besedinsky Distribution Zone of IDGC of Centre — Kurskenergo division allowed fire teams to quickly begin extinguishing the fire at the Holy Trinity Church of the village of First Vinnikovo in the Kursk region. The result — the temple, which this year marks 170 years, has been rescued.

At the command of the operator of Operations and Technology Group of Besedinsky Distribution Zone Alexander Balak, a first responding and mobile crew with the electrician Sergey Eremin and the electrician-driver Anatoly Shutkov went to the site and arrived at the scene of the fire along with first responding teams of fire departments of Kursk.

For some minutes, the power engineers cut off a 0.4 kV power line and installed grounding. The fire teams began extinguishing the fire, and already after an hour the fire hazard was isolated.

According to the colonel of internal service Sergey Sharov, Acting Deputy Chief of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in the Kursk region (State Fire Service), all services performed their tasks properly. There practiced training methods of interaction were very useful for the rescue units.
