Specialists of Orelenergo have repaired power facilities in Novosilsky district of the Orel region

06.03.2013

Power engineers of IDGC of Centre — Orelenergo division have repaired overhead power lines of 0.4-10 kV, supplying electricity to several settlements in Novosilsky district.

The repair was performed under the program to improve electricity supply in small rural communities. In particular, the power lines that fed the villages of Vorotyntsevo, Bedkovo and the rural community of Zadushnoe, were put into operation in the 70-80s of the last century, and to date had significant wear and tear.

Local residents were able to evaluate the benefits of a stable and high quality power supply, which was provided with the implementation of self-supporting insulated wire. Instead of wooden poles the power engineers installed 70 new reinforced concrete ones, and 16 overhead leads-in into homes of consumers. Also, there was an overhaul of a transformer substation, which allowed for increasing the load, created reserve capacity and technical capability to connect new customers.

Staff of IDGC of Centre — Orelenergo division plan to continue the work to improve the electricity supply in small rural communities. The power engineers plan to begin overhaul of a transformer substation and power lines of 0.4-10 kV in the settlement of Uzenky in Novosilsky district.
