Lipetskenergo is involved in the <nobr>military-patriotic</nobr> education of the younger generation

So, thanks to the support of power engineers of Lipetskenergo in February 2013 in the Lipetsk region in commemoration of the Defender of the Motherland Day a large-scale students' conference was held, devoted to one of the best examples of patriotism of the Russian people, manifested in the Voronezh-Kastornoye operation in 1943, which ended with the release of the Lipetsk region from German invaders.

The problem of civil and patriotic education of the younger generation today is becoming one of the important tasks of the state, society and educational institutions in the country. IDGC of Centre is also participating in its solving, whose business strategy is based not only on the principles of following high-tech standards, but also on the position of social responsibility.

Power engineers of the distribution grid take active part in the military-patriotic education of the society. At the initiative of IDGC Holding of Centre and with the wide support of NGOs across Russia actions are held that promote combat and labour traditions of generations, perpetuating the memory of the heroes of the war, providing social assistance and support to the veterans of the front and rear. One of them — the International Relay of Memory and Gratitude «Homeland of the Feat — to Hero of the Motherland», dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

In addition, for three years in a row power engineers of IDGC of Centre have been supporting the All-Russian historical and memorial event «Victory Banner Relay», which has been held for this period in all the regions where the company operates, and in all Distribution Zones.

«The duty of each of us — to keep sacredly and transmit to future generations the memory of those who gave their lives while defending the freedom and independence of our Motherland. So for us to participate in such events has a profound meaning," underlined Alexander Konanykhin.
