Electricians of Kurskenergo improve their skills

Staff development, training on additional specialties, basic industrial safety and labour protection are important areas of the personnel policy of IDGC of Centre.

Since the beginning of the year more than 50 people of Kurskenergo have been trained at the Training Centre for operating personnel of the branch.

First electricians of first responding mobile crews were trained with a combination of duties of a driver. They studied the requirements of the law of the Russian Federation in the field of occupational safety, and operational switching performance.

Two hours of the course the electricians-drivers spent on studying the instructions for the maintenance and repair of vehicles, as well as acts of legal regulation of traffic.

The training program for electricians for operating distribution networks the main emphasis was made on the study of the design, operation and maintenance of overhead lines of 10-0.4 kV, overhead lines from self-supporting insulated wire (SIW), transformer substations (TS) of 10/0,.4 kV and substation equipment (SS) of 110/35/10 kV as well.

After the learning the specialists of the Training Centre held training sessions for the electricians on the software “Centurion”. The result of the education was a credit.

“The profession of an electrician requires an employee to have information about the processes occurring in the power industry, — stressed Deputy Chief Engineer — Head of Distribution Networks Office of IDGC of Centre — Kurskenergo division Georgy Uzerinov. — Received skills during the training on site will help electricians successfully perform the tasks that lie ahead this year with compliance with the protection of health and safety.”
