Tambovenergo is taking measures to improve the reliability of power supply for consumers

28.01.2013

Repair crews of IDGC of Centre — Tambovenergo division have started to check microprocessor based fault locators on 110 kV overhead power lines.

On all 110kV power lines of the branch to be equipped with fault location devices, according to the regulatory requirements in 2008-2009, microprocessor based units “IMF-3R” were installed.

During February and March, specialists will check 38 such devices at 10 substations of 110kV. Such verification of fault location devices in the branch is held annually before the thunderstorm period. The main fleet of fault location is microprocessor based units “IMP-3R” manufactured by CJSC “RADIUS-Automation”.

These devices can significantly reduce the elimination of technological violations on 110 kV overhead power lines, improve the reliability of operation of 110 kV power grids, provide uninterrupted power supply to consumers in the service area of IDGC of Centre — Tambovenergo division.
