Best power engineers were honoured in Bryanskenergo

IDGC of Centre — Bryanskenergo division held a solemn event dedicated to the 81th anniversary of the establishment of the Bryansk power system and the professional holiday of the Power Engineers’ Day.

Opening the solemn meeting, Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre — Bryanskenergo division director Oleg Zotin congratulated his colleagues and veterans on the coming professional holiday.

“A great team of professionals works at Bryanskenergo and that is why our team can solve any problems. I thank you, dear friends, for your work and congratulate on the holiday. I can assure you and the leadership of IDGC of Centre, and the residents of the Bryansk region, that specialists of the branch perform their duties at a high level, thus ensuring the economic development of the region and meeting the increasing demand for electricity,”- underlined Oleg Zotin.

In his speech, Director of the branch drew attention to the fact that the date of the meeting was not chosen randomly. It was December 14, 1931 when the development of electricity networks in the land Bryansk was launched with the start-up of the operation of the first stage of the Bryansk power plant.

The first words of congratulations and gratitude were addressed to the Navlinsky mobile crew, which came back on the eve from the Pskov region. The crew was sent there to help power engineers of Pskovenergo in the reconstruction of the energy supply. Two years ago, the same crew was involved in the restoration of power supply in the Moscow region, which had been violated by the “freezing rains”.

The highest award in the day was given to Mikhail Rebichenko — electrician of first responding mobile crew of Unechsky Distribution Zone. By the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation “for outstanding contribution to the development of the fuel and energy complex and many years of hard work” he was awarded the honorary title “Honoured Power Engineer of the Russian Federation”.

On behalf of the management of IDGC of Centre the gathered was congratulated by Deputy General Director for Corporate Governance Olga Tkacheva. Handing employees of Bryanskenergo industry awards, which are timed to coincide with the professional holiday, she noted that honours and gratitude — the evidence of great personal contribution to the development of the fuel and energy complex.

Acknowledgment of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation was expressed to Electricians Georgy Kochanov, Vladimir Batyukov and Ivan Barabanov. Senior operator of the Grid Control Centre Victor Sviridenko was awarded the title “Best Specialist”, “Best in Profession” were Electricians Gennady Svischuk and Victor Shevtsov. Honorary title of IDGC of Centre “Best Manager” was given to Chief of electric modes Service of Bryanskenergo Galina Mosina.

Many employees of Bryanskenergo on that solemn day were distinguished with Diplomas of Merit, letters of thanks from the Bryansk authorities and Bryansk Regional Duma. On behalf of the regional government the employees were congratulated and awarded honours by acting Director of the Department of Fuel and Energy Complex and Housing in the Bryansk region Alla Smolenskaya and Chairman of the committee on industry, construction, business and property of the Bryansk Regional Duma Nikolay Luchkin.

In the end the celebration Chairman of the Board of Veterans of Bryanskenergo Vasily Zakharenko stressed that the succession of generations, preservation and increase of the traditions is the basis of the region’s energy sector development. Vasily congratulated on the professional holiday all those who dedicated their life to power engineering. Special words of gratitude he addressed to the veterans — people who stood at the cradle of the Bryansk power system.
