On the eve of the New Year’s holidays and vacations specialists of IDGC of Centre — Tambovenergo division held an electrical safety lesson in high school # 29 of Tambov for schoolchildren of the 9th grade. The power engineers told the teenagers about the dangers of being and the basic rules of behaviour in the vicinity of high-voltage power equipment, and introduced to the rules of electrical safety in the domestic environment.
“The schoolchildren like to visit such classes, and teachers say that the conducted electrical safety lessons by specialists of Tambovenergo have lively response from schoolchildren, serve versatile children’s development and have great preventive value,” — stressed Head of customer interaction of IDGC of Centre — Tambovenergo division Alexander Demin.
The power engineers in the form of a game told the children that one must not use any switches, buttons of rings with broken tops and disassemble electrical appliance. They warned that one must not approach transformer substations, cover ventilation openings of the appliance (e.g., TV, computer), allow any fluids and metal objects to enter into the body, as well as the prohibition of games where signs warning of the danger hang. The story of the power engineers was reinforced with visual materials — coloured posters and bookmarks. The most interesting part of the lesson traditionally is a demonstration of the training simulator “Gosha”, where experts of Tambovenergo work out resuscitation techniques for suffered with electric shock.
