During 9 months of 2012 Smolensk power engineers of IDGC of Centre spent over 2.7 million rubles on ecology

28.11.2012

IDGC of Centre — Smolenskenergo division summed up the implementation of its environmental policy for 9 months of this year. More than 2.7 million were spent to ensure the safe and environmentally sound operation for nine months of 2012. Of them on air protection — 348.79 rubles; to determine the volume components of waste and their hazard class — 243.27 rubles; to develop and coordinate the project of maximum allowable emission — 421.6 thousand rubles; to train people for the right to work with hazardous wastes — 331.5 thousand rubles; payments for negative impact on the environment — more than 1,310.000 rubles; and for delivery of waste to specialized organizations — 47.8 thousand rubles.

One of the main tasks of IDGC of Centre — Smolenskenergo division in the environmental area is the reduction of adverse environmental impact as a result of industrial activity, as well as continuous improvement of environmental safety. An important moment in the implementation of the environmental policy is to comply with emission standards of air pollutants and standards for waste formation and their disposal limits.

The key tasks for the implementation of the environmental program in that period was an instrumental monitoring of compliance with established standards for maximum allowable emission; conducting activities to reduce the harmful effects on soil; control of compliance of maximum permissible concentrations of harmful impurities in drains; organization of separate waste storage of different hazard classes; development and receiving certificates for hazardous waste; development of the project of maximum allowable emission; repair oil receivers of transformers, oil-filled equipment and replacement of gravel bedding under them.

An important issue in the implementation of the environmental policy is training for the right to handle hazardous waste. 331.5 thousand rubles were spent on it. For the past period of the current year persons responsible for dealing with hazardous waste were trained: 51 employees of the branch received their certificate on professional training for the right to handle hazardous waste.

Particular attention in the implementation of the environmental policy is paid to minimization of harmful impact on the environment, as well as possible environmental improvement by switching to new, more advanced and safer technologies, as well as an integrated approach to the use of natural resources.
