In the main diocesan administration of the Smolensk region, a meeting of the Smolensk Business Club with Bishop Panteleimon of Smolensk and Vyazma was held. The event was attended by representatives of IDGC of Centre — Smolenskenergo division — Chairman of the Youth Council Alexey Magon and Head of Public Relations Dmitry Medvedev.
IDGC of Centre has had many years lasting good relations with the Russian Orthodox Church, the company’s employees voluntarily assist in raising funds for the restoration of orthodox facilities. For example, recently in the village of Verkhnedneprovsky of Dorogobuzhsky district in the Smolensk region the church in honour of St. John of Kronstadt was consecrated, which was preceded by the work of power engineers of Dorogobuzhsky Distribution Zone of Smolenskenergo. Power engineers of IDGC of Centre provided all possible assistance in the collection of funds for the construction of the temple and the landscaping of the adjacent territory.
