Bryanskenergo is reconstructing the substation "Gorodischenskaya"

24.09.2012

In line with the investment program of IDGC of Centre — Bryanskenergo division the reconstruction of the 110/6 kV substation “Gorodischenskaya” was started. It will be held in two phases and will complete in 2013.

This year a third transformer capacity of 25 MVA is to be installed at the power facility. In the future, the two currently operating 16 MVA transformers will be replaced with new 25 MVA, the schemes of 110 kV and 6 kV switchgears will be put in line with modern requirements, and high-speed protection and control system for DC operating current will be installed. After its completion the substation will move to the category of available supply centres.

The substation is the centre of the town mains supply, which provides power supply to the socially important facilities located in the city of Bryansk. Here is massive development of the streets of Naval and Aviation. In a short time in Soviet district of the regional center there will be new residential apartment buildings, shopping centres and infrastructure facilities.

According to Head of Advanced Development Section of Production Assets Management Centre of Bryanskenergo Alexander Gribovsky, IDGC of Centre — Bryanskenergo division was requested by applicants to provide services for grid connection of social facilities under construction in the district of Bryansk adjacent to the substation with the total maximum power of about 24 MW. In this regard, Bryanskenergo took the decision to reconstruct the substation “Gorodischenskaya” with a substantial increase in its installed capacity. This will improve the reliability of power supply of the city and will provide additional opportunities for the economic development of the region."
