IDGC of Centre — Tambovenergo division in 2012, according to the investment program purchased 10 portable self-contained power supply sources Elitech BES 8000 ET with a capacity of 6.5 kW each, and 17 mobile power plants ED-T400 ranging from 20 to 100kW.
These generators are designed to maintain the temporary power of infrastructure facilities in the early restoration period of the constant supply of electricity from the mains power supply in cases requiring lengthy repairs.
The purchased petrol generators Elitech were distributed in 10 Districts of Electrical Networks (DENs), mobile power plants ED-T400 came to all the DENs, where they will be used in the work, and if necessary, for emergency power supply of control centres of Operation Groups of the DENs. They are mobile and easy to use. For the independent power supply sources connection circuits were worked out, persons responsible for their operation were identified, and briefings of staff were conducted. Also, before the heating season staff of the DENs and maintenance crews will take part in training sessions in conjunction with EMERCOM and municipal authorities.
The use of independent power supply sources provides an additional opportunity to maintain supply of infrastructure facilities and inhabitants of the Tambov region during the autumn-winter peak loads.
