Quality and uninterrupted power supply - a priority of Tver power engineers

08.08.2012

IDGC of Centre — Tverenergo division summed up the metrological provision of operation for the first half of 2012. One of the main objectives of this direction is to obtain accurate data on the quality and quantity of transmitted electricity.

For 6 months of the year Tver power engineers calibrated over 1 700 working measurement devices of the branch. Also, the staff organized verification of more than 520 measuring devices, of which 42 are commercial electricity metering devices, 48 measuring current transformers and 17 voltage measuring transformers and other measuring devices subject to verification.

Tver power engineers perform a permanent quality control of delivered electricity to consumers. Quality parameters of electricity in the branch’s networks are routinely measured, the results documented with reports in the prescribed form. If necessary, corrective actions are developed to bring performance into line with the requirements of GOST — wire size increases, voltage level is regulated, voltage boosters are installed, and network is reconstructed. During the indicated period, Tver power engineers conducted measurement of power quality at 219 control points, repeatedly went to check the quality of electricity as requested by consumers.

According to Deputy Chief Engineer for operational and technological management — Head of Grid Control Centre of IDGC of Centre — Tverenergo division Vladislav Ostrik, effective work in the direction of metrological provision allows to achieve the unity and the required accuracy of measurements in transmission and distribution of electrical energy.
