Employees of Smolenskenergo were the best at the XXII Spartakiada Games of power companies in the region

Staff of IDGC of Centre — Smolenskenergo division took part in traditional regional summer Spartakiada Games, in which 11 power companies of the Smolensk region were competing. This year the competitions were prepared and conducted by the management of the branch in the Central service area of Smolenskenergo in the town of Safonovo with participation of the primary trade union organization of the branch.

Participants of the competition matched strength in eight sports: relay 4 by 100 meters of the male and female teams, volleyball, futsal, tug of war, weightlifting sports, streetball, darts and swimming. In addition top managers of energy companies of the Smolensk region traditionally vied with staff for prizes.

Staff of IDGC of Centre — Smolenskenergo division were winners in absolutely all kinds of events, taking all the winners’podium in the competitions of volleyball and tug of war! Representatives of the executive office of the branch were the best in the mixed relay in swimming and weightlifting sport and the team of the Central service area of Smolenskenergo was the strongest on the basketball court.

Winner of individual championship in kettlebell sport — Head of Krasninsky DEN of the branch Vyacheslav Meshkov — he did show an outstanding result by lifting a kettlebell 203 times, thus leaving no chance to his rivals!

Of course, the greatest interest was aroused by the contest of top managers, in which Chief Engineer of Smolenskenergo Nikolay Kireenko won with some huge noise support of the audience.

All winners of the summer Spartakiada Games were traditionally awarded prizes and gifts, and IDGC of Centre — Smolenskenergo division as the “gold” competition winner received a challenge winners’ cup.

Nikolay Kireenko stressed: “Sports achievements of staff of Smolenskenergo have always been our pride. At the same Spartakiada Games provide both an opportunity to express themselves in individual sports and to prove their superiority. First of all, this is a meeting of old friends and acquaintances from all over the Smolensk region, and this is unity of the team spirit of power engineers”.
