For 5 months Belgorodenergo repaired more than 450 km of power lines, which represents more than 30% of the annual plan

02.07.2012

For five months of the current year specialists of IDGC of Centre — Belgorodenergo division repaired 458 km of power lines of 0.4-110 kV, 29 substations of 35-110 kV and 211 transformer substations. In total this year it is planned to repair 90 substations of 35-110 kV, 578 transformer substations and 1398 km of power lines of all voltages. More than 211 million rubles are planned to perform the repair program.

The reasons for which the equipment is put for repair are the approved plans of the repair and maintenance campaign, as well as damage caused to power facilities as a result of adverse weather conditions or not agreed with the branch building and earthworks. Last year, damages were recorded at 174 power lines of 35-110 kV.

In order to reduce the number of disturbances at transformer substations power engineers performed the replacement of straight-through insulation, switching devices, fuse-disconnectors and lightning protectors for surge arresters. 0.4-10 kV lines were repaired with the replacement of wire, insulation and poles straightening. About 4 thousand new insulators and around a thousand and a half kilometers of ground wire were installed on 35-110 kV lines.

To improve the reliability of high voltage equipment at 110 kV power transformers 15 oil-filled entrance bushings were replaced with entries in the solid insulation and 164 lightning protectors for 35-110 kV surge arresters. The major facilities of the repair program for this period were the 110 kV substation “Stary Oskol-1” and “East” as well as the overhead 35 kV power lines “Alexandrovka — Radkovka” and “Alexandrovka — Podolkhi”.

In recent years, the repair activity of the branch is implemented using an integrated approach that provides for the maximum amount of repair work on a separate line or substation. Plans for renovations are formed on the basis of an electronic database of power grid facilities. Previously, they were approved in accordance with the regulatory lifecycle of power equipment, today professionals enter to-date information on the current status into the SAP ERP Plant Maintenance module, based on which a decision on the need to repair or upgrade each electrical unit is made. Diagnostics data serve as a source of information.

The integrated approach is applied for the routine diagnostics when equipment is put for repair for the diagnostics and repair at the same time. According to experts, it helps to reduce downtime hours. In planning this work analytical data of power outages are taken into account.

In accordance with the diagnostics program for the first five months 1636 pieces of electrical equipment of 35-110 kV were tested, more than 66 cable lines of 6-10 kV and about 9,083 units of protective equipment. Inspections of 10,385 km of 0.4-10 kV overhead lines and measurements of 243 km of overhead lines were performed. 10,628 km of power lines of 0.4-10 kV and 6948 transformer substations were inspected and measured. For the detection of hidden internal damage professionals of the diagnostics service took more than 1050 samples of transformer oil to analyze.

In order to improve the quality of work in major Districts of Electrical Networks the decentralization of maintenance crews was made, that is the functions of crews were divided by type of repair: repair of transformer substations, overhead lines, cable lines, etc.

The result of the successful performance of the repair campaign will be the improvement of the reliability of power grid facilities of the branch and its preparation for the autumn-winter operation period.
